The Ocean County Health Department will be in Tuckerton at the Hunting Shanty located in the Tuckerton Seaport on Tuesday October 18th 2016 from 10:00am to 12:00pm providing Influenza and Pneumonia Vaccinations. Please plan on getting vaccinated, mark your calendar!
ALL ARE INVITED on Tuesday, October 4th, 2016 to the Little Egg Harbor Community Center, located at 317 West Calabreeze Way, Little Egg Harbor from 7:00pm to 8:30pm. The non-profit advocacy group New Jersey Future is hosting the second of two open meetings for residents of Little Egg Harbor and Tuckerton Borough. The objective of this meeting is to discuss strategies to reduce risk associated with future storms and chronic flooding.

THE BOROUGH OF TUCKERTON IS NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR A FULL TIME PUBLIC WORKS/WATER SEWER LABORER. MUST HAVE A VALID NEW JERSEY DRIVER’S LICENSE AND A COMMERCIAL DRIVER’S LICENSE (CDL). KNOWLEDGE IN WATER AND SEWER OPERATIONS AND DAILY PUBLIC WORKS DUTIES IS PREFERRED. APPLICATIONS ARE AVAILABLE IN THE BOROUGH CLERK’S OFFICE 420 EAST MANI ST. TUCKERTON, NEW JERSEY DURING NORMAL BUSINESS HOURS AND MUST BE RETURNED TO THE CLERK’S OFFICE BY 4PM MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 26, 2016. TUCKERTON BOROUGH IS AN E.O.E.

Marsh Restoration and Replenishment Project
The Township of Little Egg Harbor and Tuckerton Borough are working together to complete an ambitious area-wide coastal dredging and ecosystem restoration project with funds provided by the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation (NFWF) through the Hurricane Sandy Resiliency Competitive Grants Program. Strategic Recovery Planning Report
The Borough of Tuckerton participated in the Getting to Resilience (GTR) process developed by the NJ Department of Environmental Protection and adapted and enhanced by the Jacques Cousteau Estuarine Research Reserve (JCNERR). Through this process, the Borough was able to identify specific actions that will enhance long term resiliency in the town. These recommendations are integrated in the Strategic Recovery Planning Report. Click here for a copy of this report.
