AS OF FEBRUARY 4,2008 It’s time to put down those scissors,and get rid of that twine. HERE IS HOW IT WORKS: Recycling Containers: Shall be placed curbside on your scheduled day, containers must be watertight with lid. Containers no larger than 30 gallons; weight not over 40 pounds. Lids cannot be fastened to container. Containers shall be clearly marked with decal or letter "R". Decals may be obtained at Public Works Department. DO NOT PUT RECYCLING IN (AUTOMATIED TRASH CARTS) RECYCLING CONTAINERS ONLY!
Acceptable Materials: (All in one bin) Junk Mail/Mixed Papers,Magazines, Catalogs, Glossy Color Inserts from Newspaper, Pastel Envelopes, Undeliverable and/or Advertising Mail, Sweepstakes Forms, School Papers including Math Paper, Construction Paper (with paint, crayon, or marker), Textbooks Without Hard Covers, Soft cover workbooks, Computer Paper, Office Paper, fax or photo copy paper, computer printouts, white or colored ledger, 3M post-it Notes, non Metallic Paper, NCR paper (carbonless copy paper). Newspapers: Cardboard:All cardboard shall be broken down, To fit in the 30 Gallon Container. This includes all household boxes. / Pizza boxes and Cereal boxes are not acceptable.

Acceptable Materials:
Refrigerators, Freezers/Air Conditioners:Obtain permit from Construction Office $12.00 charge for permit. Doors must be removed from refrigerators and freezers. Unit must be dropped off at yard or picked up curbside. Brush and Clippings:Brush must be bundles and tied in 4-foot lengths or less weighing no more than 40 lbs. Limbs can not be more 3 ½ inches in diameter. Small brush, leaves, pine needles must go in plastic bags or cans. Telephone Books:Phone Books can be placed at curbside.
Miscellaneous: Compost and mulch is available to residents at Public Works yard. (Seasonal) Recycling Coordinators Note:Please make sure this information will be visible to tenants. Any violations shall be issued to owner of property. Other Items Acceptable for Recycling: (Drop off at Public Works Yard Only) Batteries: Household, Auto, Marine Tires: Passenger Car & Light Truck with or with out rims. Computers: Towers, Monitors, Key boards etc. Concrete: Clean concrete only. Ceramic tiles, asphalt, toilets Used Clothing: Materials, Linens, etc. Paint, latex or oil only. No stain, thinners, solution etc. Used motor oil.
